Autumn fundraising update

The sun came out on the first day of October, for our second Sporting Wellness Charity Golf Day. The stunning The Astbury Golf Course near Bridgnorth, Shropshire, provided an excellent venue, where 20 teams made up of 80 players thoroughly enjoyed the day and in the process raised a fantastic £2,500 for the charity. The Contact Business Finance team from Wolverhampton were the team of the day taking first prize.

Our next fundraising event is on the evening of Wednesday 13th October, kindly organised and hosted by Blackthorns Chartered Accountants, for whom we are charity of the year. The in person quiz night is being held at Wombourne Civic Centre from 7pm and costs £80 per team of four. Please contact melsamms@theblackthorns.co.uk for more information and to book in.

We wish Carl Wakeford the very best of luck in his participation and fundraising in the Mallorca IRONMAN 70.3 coming up on 16th October, one of the largest IRONMAN 70.3 events in the world, requiring sportspeople to swim 1.2 miles followed by a 56 mile cycle and finished off with a 13.2 half marathon.
