Ed Haslam – Elite Pathway Executive Lead:

“From the minute we launched the ELITE Pathway in 2021, it was essential that we took the mental-health of our student-sportspeople very seriously; The pressures our student-sportspeople are put under are vast, they have pressures to perform on their stage and in the classroom. We have to be on hand to deal with their achievements and their setbacks, both have different complicities. Most of our young people are experiencing these emotions for the first time.

As soon as I read about Sporting Wellness and saw the impact they are making, I knew they would be the organisation I wanted to partner with. For so long, mental has had a stigma attached and no one wanted to breach the seriousness of this issue – as a Pathway we have been vocal about the importance of this. I hope our student-sportspeople and their parents have comfort in knowing Sporting Wellness are on hand if they are needed. I feel very lucky that Callum, and his team have put confidence in our unique offer”.
